Come relax with us in our 1876 historical building that started its life as a school and now offers a peaceful refuge from the hustle and bustle of the 21st century life. Our suites have a spectacular view of the small rural town of Chamois (pronounced Sha-moy). One of our special features is a 100-year-old operating pendulum clock. The Old School is 146 years old this year and has served as a Bed & Breakfast for 18 years. We are currently celebrating our 8th year as her Innkeepers!
We offer a full breakfast in our spacious dining hall. Each suite has app/Roku TV (remember to bring your logins to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime or Sling), wireless Internet, zoned heating/cooling and private bath. For your total comfort and relaxation, two of our suites offer a Jacuzzi with room for two, a large shower, double vanity and a king-size bed. Our third King suite has an extra large shower and a pull out twin sofa. Our fourth suite is designed for families, with two double beds and extra twin bed, dual vanities and a vintage tub for relaxing in. We are dedicated to your every comfort with gracious and personalized service.

We are located in central Missouri with Hermann and their many festivals just a short drive. There are many wineries within easy driving distance. Want to take in a Cardinal game or go to the Zoo? St. Louis is just a couple hours from our B&B. On the other hand, for a change of pace, take a trip on the scenic Missouri River. Our picturesque park has a ramp for easy access to fishing, canoeing or pleasure boating. There is plenty of room to park your boat at the B&B. Ladies, bring your SUV or a van and go shop at the wonderful antique stores along the way. We are proud to be on The Lewis and Clark Trail. So much to do and see in Missouri and The Old School On The Hill is the perfect place to relax after a busy day. We hope to see you soon! We are currently taking reservations for Summer & Fall! Local produce is ready and our roadside “Boys from Chamois” Shack is full and our Main Street farmers market is on Saturday.

This saves you a lot of money so you can spend $ on fun stuff like wine, cheese and food! Have a smaller group of 3 or 4 that can share a room? – we have the perfect option!
